Services and Amenities

Barrington Terrace provides different levels of care in order to meet varying needs of our residents.  Barrington Terrace routinely evaluated to ensure that the appropriate services are being provided.

Terrace Living Services - Designed for residents who need minimal assistance, but need the security, warmth and social environment offered by Barrington Terrace.  These services include:

• Choice of apartment style with kitchenette includes refrigerator, microwave and cabinets

• All utilities except telephone (basic cable channels 2-18 included in monthly rate)

• State of the art emergency call system with 24-hour response

• Three nutritious meals served restaurant style (tray service available - three day maximum)

• Special diets approved by registered dietician

• Stimulating activities, events and outings overseen by full-time activities director

• Scheduled medical and shopping transportation

• Weekly housekeeping services

• Weekly laundering of bed and bath linens

• Routine and preventative maintenance of apartment, common areas and grounds, including all necessary repairs and replacements

• Therapy and podiatry services available on-site

• Visiting physicians

• 24-hour staffing and supervision by a caring, trained professional staff

• Access to Barrington Terraces' wellness program supervised by a licensed nurse

• Daily medication management

• Shower reminders

Terrace Supportive Living - Includes all Terrace Living Services above and additional assistance when needed in the following areas:

• Activity and mealtime reminders

• Scheduled assistance into and out of the shower (twice weekly)

• Coaching on daily dressing and grooming activities

• Weekly laundering of personal items

Terrace Enhanced Living - Includes all Terrace Supportive Living Services above plus additional assistance when needed in the following areas:

• Full assistance at meals (cutting meats and using condiments)

• Scheduled full assistance with three or more showers weekly

• Assistance to and from dining room and activities

• Full assistance with dressing and grooming (shaving, brushing hair and teeth)

• Support with transfers with usually involve the assistance of one person

Assistance with incontinence management includes additional laundry and bathing as needed.

Terrace Evergreen - Terrace Evergreen is a highly specialized program for Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related conditions.  In the Evergreen program, residents enjoy the same beautiful surroundings, yet with added services and safeguards.  This program includes:

• A custom-designed neighborhood with its own dining, living and activities area
• Individual plan of care for each resident
• Assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Higher staff to resident ratio than provided in other assisted living levels of care
• Supervision of medication administration by a licensed nurse
• Activities program supervised by a trained activity director
• Three nutritious snacks available in addition to regular meals
• Family support program
• Linen and personal laundry services
• Minimal assistance with incontinence management
• Terrace Evergreen Plus includes additional caregiver staffing for individuals requiring more extensive physical support or behavioral intervention.  Includes:
    -- Total management of bathing, dressing and grooming
    -- Ambulation and support with transfers
    -- Occasional behavioral intervention
    -- Incontinence management
