Cynthia
Ferrara has over 14 years of proven field experience in various
aspects of medical care. Initially
receiving her degree as a Registered Nurse, Cynthia spent the
first few years of her career within the highly skilled setting of
a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
In this extremely intense environment, Cynthia developed
the ability to handle anything with professionalism coupled with a
keen sense of compassion for the children and their families.
While continuing to work as a nurse, Cynthia furthered her
education by completing her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing
from the University of South Florida in 1992.
Upon graduation, Cynthia was honored with admission into
Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society for Nurses.
While working through her degree program, she became
especially interested in the needs of the senior adult.
She took this interest in elder care and merged it with a
position outside of the hospital as a patient
care coordinator for a local home healthcare company.
Throughout her five years in this role, Cynthia developed
an excellent understanding of the requirements that seniors and
their families have
outside of the hospital/healthcare setting.
As she worked to provide a plan of care for each of her patients,
it was evident that there was no central point of contact to help
the patient and/or their family coordinate their healthcare
related issues.
In
1998, Cynthia opened the offices of Care Management Associates to
fulfill these needs. |
