discussion in the morning after coffee, a shopping trip to
the Aventura Mall in the afternoon, or just Happy Hour
with friends before diner, what whatever you choose to do
you will never run out of things to do at The Sterling
Aventura.
If you picture residents
of a senior community sitting in rocking chairs, forget
that image. While that may do for some, many of our
residents prefer to keep very busy. The Sterling of
Aventura’s activity staff plans a
full schedule of entertaining, stimulating, and
therapeutic programs for all our residents.
Weekly dance parties with live entertainment, day and
night outings to shows and fairs, exercise programs,
bingo, card clubs, book review clubs, gaming
opportunities, cooking classes and fund raisers are some
of the activities one will find at The Sterling.
The Sterling is a
corporate member of the Jewish Community Center, which is
3 minutes away from our facility. There, residents may
participate, at no extra charge, in a multitude of outside
activities and events such as: crafts, exercise programs
(including swimming indoors), bridge games and lessons,
dance, spiritual studies and more.
We are an integral part
of the Aventura community, having developed
intergenerational and volunteer programs involving other
organizations such as Hillel, Hadassah, The Democratic
Club of North East Dade County, among others. As such, our
residents do not feel isolated. Active participation in
the community gives our residents a sense of belonging and
improves their quality of life.

sconces and are trimmed with solid wood handrails. Each
floor boasts oversized lounges with terraces, coffee bars,
a computer with Internet access, cable TVs, card tables,
conversation areas, and personal mailboxes. Fish tanks
teeming with bright undersea life stand by as quiet
reminders of nature’s beauty.
Features and Accommodations
The Sterling Aventura is
a luxury assisted living community located in the heart of
Aventura. Each of our beautifully appointed
residences features wall-to-wall carpeting, handicapped
accessible showers, phone service, and cable TV plus a
lovely kitchenette with under-counter refrigerator,
microwave oven, and stainless steel sink. Best of
all, everything is included in your rent. Assistance
with dressing, bathing and medications should you need it.
Housekeeping, linen and towels service. Weekly
personal laundry service. All electric, water,
air-conditioning, heating, and more!
 On every residential
floor you'll find a terraced lounge where you can enjoy a
cup or tea or delicious snack at the self-service coffee
bar. Relax in a comfortable reading chair and just
socialize with friends and family. Or surf the
internet free and e-mail family and friends from the
computer station nearby. There's also a bright and
sunny card room where you can enjiy a game of bridge or
your favorite board game.
Each residential studio
or one bedroom apartment is attractive, spacious, and
airy. They were designed to provide maximum safety,
comfort, convenience, and privacy. Careful forethought in
their design provided handicapped accessible doorways and
baths; ample closets and storage; kitchens with microwaves
and handy under-the-counter refrigerators. Each oversize
bathroom boasts a mirrored vanity, wheelchair accessible
commode, and a built-in shower with safety grab rails and
a bench shower seat. For additional security, each
resident is provided with a state-of-the-art emergency
call pendant so help is always within reach; the bathrooms
and living rooms are also equipped with pull cords to
summon help should it be necessary.

has waitress service from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM so, you'll
enjoy the total flexibility to schedule what you want to
eat, when you want it. Have pancakes for diner, or
a full course dinner at lunchtime. Plus there's
catering and room service available for a nominal fee.
