That's why we provide a full range of services, including 24-hour care, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, and other special offerings. We also provide transportation to your personal physician appointments. Living accommodations consist of one-bedroom, studio, and two-bedroom apartments. We provide you with amenities such as telephone, cable television, and laundry services. Respite care is also available, along with x-ray services, laboratories, and the latest medical equipment and supplies. Our goal is to bring the healing process to you completely and compassionately. REJUVENATE When you feel independent there's no limit to what you can accomplish. Our community is dedicated to providing you with quality recreation. You can take your pick from a range of social activities. RESPITE CARE While you are rejuvenating your body and soul, you can have a sense of comfort knowing that your loved one is being provided the care needed with a holistic approach to make their stay as inviting and delightful as possible. Our respite program is designed to provide compassionate care through medication management, restorative therapy, nutrition, grooming, dressing and ambulation. A wide range of recreational activities and social programs enhance our residents' ability to enjoy life. The respite programs tailor to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents with a focus for fulfillment and personal contentment. Alzheimer's and Dementia Care What is Alzheimer's disease? Alzheimer's disease a progressive disease of the brain, and is the most common form of dementia, a group of disorders that, over time, destroys brain cells and, with them, mental functioning. Alzheimer's disease first attacks a persons memory and then, gradually their ability to reason, learn, make informed decisions, communicate, or carry out the basic tasks of life. It can also basic personality changes, including anxiety and suspicion, sometimes with agitation, delusions or even hallucinations. Maintaining physical and mental health Village Place is an assisted living community which means that it provides a form of long-term care that promotes self direction and participation in decisions to individuals who require help with the activities of daily living but do not need skilled nursing care. Assisted living places emphasis on independence, individuality, privacy, dignity, and choice while preserving "home-like" qualities such as control over ones personal space.
Distance between the suite and dining room is purposefully short. This comfortable and safe setting allows residents to function at their highest levels, to preserve their dignity, quality of life and self-esteem, and to maintain a sense of normalcy. Activities are an important part of the residents life. We offer a wide range of activities and recreation that fit every level of care. We have bingo, bowling, music, monthly birthday parties, field trips to explore the sites of Charlotte Harbor, parties in our outdoor courtyard and visits from the very special human and animal teams of Pet Partners Delta Society. Working together with family members, our staff completes a support team that uses caring, responsibility, respect, trust and community to help our special needs residents achieve the best of life. Village
Place offers a unique and specialized approach to caring
for our Alzheimer's residents by creating a secured
neighborhood of private suites. The smaller
grouping is designed to enable our trained staff to
provide the highest quality of care and quickest response
time within their neighborhood. The neighborhood
setting contains an environment of 12 residents, each in a
large, private, one-room suite. The suites are
designed for easy mobility and a minimum of confusion for
the resident.
